Learn How & Why I Got Started
My story in this field started long before I ever coached a client. When I was a kid, I was fascinated by the bodybuilders of the 70s and 80s — the discipline, the philosophy, the idea that you could reshape your life through consistency and effort. By seventh grade, I knew I’d end up in the nutrition and fitness world somehow. What began as a hobby turned into a lifelong pursuit.

I didn’t come to this work from a place of perfection. I dealt with real physical and psychological challenges growing up, and by high school I was the guy who couldn’t gain weight no matter what I tried. I played sports because that’s what my friends did, but my real passion lived in the weight room between seasons. I loved everything about those spaces — the old equipment, the loud music, the unspoken camaraderie, and the feeling that if you showed up and worked hard, things would get better.
And things did get better.
Through the weight room and simple, consistent changes to my nutrition and lifestyle, I watched my health transform. I avoided the pitfalls I saw in my family — the processed foods, the lack of fresh produce, the cascade of preventable issues — and eventually came off six medications just by improving how I ate and lived. Those tools changed my life, and that became the foundation of my “why”: if they worked for me, I could teach them to others.

My career has evolved the same way the industry has. I started at 19 cleaning gyms. By 22, I was coaching dozens of people each week through personal training and small-group classes. Three years later, I began nutrition coaching and stepped into management at a million-dollar group fitness facility. That experience taught me systems, leadership, and what sustainable change actually looks like at scale.

In 2017, I took the leap and started my own coaching business. I’ve been self-employed ever since, working with clients locally and online. Over the years I’ve coached thousands of people, but the clients I’m most proud of are the few hundred who’ve walked through the doors of PCS Nutrition and stayed. Many of them have worked with me for years, and they’re proof of what I believe most: long-term guidance is what creates real, lasting results.
Along the way, I’ve continued to develop my craft through hands-on work and intentional education. My certifications include:

-
ACE Certified Personal Trainer
-
ACE Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist
-
Precision Nutrition Level 1 Nutrition Coach
-
Certified Online Trainer
-
Precision Nutrition Sleep, Stress Management, & Recovery Coaching.
My coaching philosophy is simple:
Give people the tools that changed my life, teach them clearly, support them consistently, and help them build habits that last.
No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just real, sustainable progress backed by evidence and experience.
Nutrition was built for the long haul — a place where people can learn, grow, and transform at a sustainable pace. I’ve dedicated my life to this work not because it was easy, but because it mattered. And it still does.
